YAGI calls for more support to the Orphanages

 


The Founder and CEO of “You Are Great” Initiative Chief Mrs Oluremi Fagunwa - Ogunleye has called on well meaning Nigerians to support motherless children and widows in the society.

Mrs Fagunwa - Ogunleye  made the call  in Ibadan while giving support to the Cornerstone Orphanage at Ago Taylor, Odo Ona.

According to the Founder and CEO of “You are Great Initiative”, there is no doubt in the fact that the motherless children and the widows needs support particularly when the world is battling with poverty and Covid 19 pandemic.

She stressed that based on this,  there is the need for the well to do in the society to rise up and give them support and encouragement, adding that government  cannot do it alone hence the need for well meaning Nigerians to give the needed support, so that they also can be better catered for in the society. 

Mrs Fagunwa - Ogunleye maintained that  the visit to Ibadan was also to mark the 2nd year anniversary of the organisation as well as an AGM to discuss ways of garnering more support for the less privileged in the society.


Receiving the support which included matress, toiletries, food stuffs and provisions,  founder of Kingdom Cornerstone Orphanage home, Mr Ajayi Kolade emphasized the need for stakeholders to protect the future of children in the country .

Mr Kolade lamented that it was unfortunate that many homes face a lot of challenges on how to cater for the children during the pandemic , adding that the time for the well meaning Nigerian to support the vulnerable groups is now.

Chairman of the Initiative 2nd year anniversary planning committee, Dr Babatunde Oni represented by Mr Olalekan Adeyemi while presenting the support, emphasised on the need to remove children out of the street and create a conducive place of learning for them.


The group  visits and supports many homes across the country, identify their needs on request and do a quarterly support for them.

The quarterly train of "You Are Great Initiative" stops again at Mosadoluwa Orphanage Home, Basiri Iyin Road, Ado Ekiti on 5th December,2020.
