It’s better not to give a girl transport fare than to give her 5k – Nigerian lady tells men

A Nigerian lady has stirred controversy on social media with her opinion about men giving women transport fare.

According to the young woman known on Twitter as @sexy_oma_, men should not bother giving a woman transport money to visit him if what he has to offer is 5k.

She stated that it is better he does not give any money at all than to give her such amount.

"It's better you don’t give a lady transport than to give her 5k.”

@EtuboLion; I don’t know why you people are upset over this harmless tweet. Don’t give her money guys, just pack plantain chips and pure water inside nylon bag and give her, so that she can use it for ipapanu on her way back home.

@loistruly; 5k will take someone in Lagos from Lekki all the way to Ikeja in an Uber. It’s something. Unless you’re talking about interstate, in which case it’s still something as long as it’s not her money. If she was to borrow 10k, now she’ll have to borrow only 5k.
