Woman reportedly files for divorce from husband who bought all landed properties, cars in her name

A man is reportedly set to be divorced by his wife after he bought properties and cars in her name for reasons best known to him.

The story was shared on micro-blogging platform, Twitter by a lawyer named Muhammed Ndakudu Adam.

According to him, the woman has filed for divorce from her husband and she is claiming ownership of all the properties and vehicle which are in her name.

Muhammed wrote; ”This man bought all the properties, both landed and cars in the name of the wife. Now the wife has filed a petition for divorce and she’s claiming ownership of everything.

Men, do whatever you like with this information.”

When a Twitter user suggested; @darknbold1; Let him show proof of all his earnings and income over the years and let the wife show hers, last, last na matrimonial property, it will be shared amongst them if the court is convinced.

Muhammed wrote; The wife is a journalist and he’s a business man. Most times, he would keep money in her account and say buy this and that and put your name. Who does that?

Reacting, @hardepojuhadex wrote; The man no get family ? I wonder how people become so dumb.

The second person name that will appear on any of my properties is my immediate younger brother..and it will transferred to my child immediately I know he/she’s capable of making sound decision even while I’m alive.

@itumomartins; This is a recipe for marital trouble. I have a sorry story involving a client to tell of it. In this case, the wife died leaving a Will that has next to nothing for the husband.

Mikel-Donovan Ezeilo; Unfortunately this is rather common, at least in Nigeria. Men are often berated but women hardly ever name their husbands in their Will. You would most likely see her named but not the husband. Some even harass the husband to write a Will to protect against his relatives.

@Peteraboh; If the man truly own the money that was used to acquire those properties, it a matter of time the woman will loss everything. Natural law will happen to her but the man has his mind that can never be taken away from him.

@__LuQQQ; Well… If he can try to prove resulting trust, then maybe, just maybe he can be saved. Although, marriage is one of the exception to resulting trust (on the woman’s side), but looking at the volume of the properties, he can give it a shot.
